Services

While ICOM provides many standard software products that target pipeline scheduling and the management of information, much of its time is dedicated to providing professional services.  These professional services include the development of complex, customized, enterprise-level software and database applications related to the pipeline transportation industry, such as: project conceptualization, project planning, project cost analysis, specification design, customized software development, system integration, data management, information publication, technical documentation, user training, and long-term technical support.

Many of the software development projects ICOM undertakes involve replacing or complementing an older, obsolete system.  Whenever software has been in place at an organization for many years, it becomes extremely difficult to start over with a brand new system.  Frequently, the main requirement of any new software system is to replace an old system without losing any of the useful features from the obsolete system.  All of this must occur without causing any technical culture shock to an organization, its personnel, or its customers that have grown accustomed to the older system.  In order to create the best system possible, one must gain a detailed understanding of the features found in the old software while also understanding the main objectives and goals of the new software.

ICOM has risen to this type of challenge time and time again and is an organization that maintains the technical expertise that is necessary to develop a complex software system.  ICOM can optimize production costs and reduce the time necessary to deliver a final product to its clients.  It does so by not only implementing the strategies listed above, but also by taking advantage of the massive amount of preexisting field-tested software libraries it maintains as well as utilizing its Corporate Application TemplateTM (CAT) technology.

ICOM provides customized software development  services that meet the challenges of today’s complex business environments.

Over the years, ICOM has provided a wide variety of professional services.  All of these services pertain to software development projects within the pipeline transportation industry and fall within these four major categories:
